Midterm paper with an awakening!

After a long hard week of writing for my midterm paper for my Criminal Justice class, at the end of the paper came out with a great finishing line. The paper had to be written on juveniles and the death penalty. Needless to say in the past as young as seven could be tried as an adult and given the death penalty. It was in 1995 that the death penalty was considered cruel and unusual punishment for individuals under the age of 18. This also made it banned by the Constitution. Also the subject of if the courts were influence through outside sources (i.e. psychology, medicine, society, etc.) when it comes to juveniles and their cases. So with a little back ground on what the paper was about and the area that it was leaning towards, this was the ending sentence to bring the paper to a smooth ending: What a kid does no matter the extent of the crime should be punished accordingly, but the full rod should be spared because those same kids still have a chance to morph into greater people if just given the chance and guided along the way. (this was stated after the closing statement: about kids should be punished for their actions and crime but shouldn't have their whole life taken away). What do you think about the statement and how do you feel about the subject? (this is just to start a conversation and it is every ones opinion so respect it please).

Fishing

Going fishing is one of the greatest things to do. It allows you to get away from the hard times and stress you maybe having at that point in time in your life. But more importantly it allows you to connect again as a family, because it is something that you all can do together. For me if I'm not going with my family, and I am by myself it gives me a time to reflect.

This past Monday was the first time taking the little one out. It went a lot better than I thought it would. She had her moments, it was close to nap time, and she enjoyed her nap in her play tent we took with us and put up. There was no fish caught. But that wasn't the great part of going out this time. It was seeing the smile on the little ones face just being out fishing and reeling the pull in and out of the water.

Go out do something as a family. Go fishing, even if you don't ketch anything it can be something great.
